Camping participation has dropped in the U.S., according to a report released by the Outdoor Foundation and the Coleman Company, Inc. on Wednesday.

The 2013 American Camper Report tracks camping in the U.S., providing data on camping trends with a series of in depth surveys pertinent to understanding campers and non-campers as well as looking into how to build further participation.

Over 42,000 Americans ages six and older conducted an online survey and Americans 18 and older completed a supplemental survey with results showing that camping participation has dropped from 42.5 million people in 2011 to 38 million in 2013.

It’s time to get serious, people- it’s time to get outside!

Outdoor Nation and The Coleman Company, Inc. want to make you a happy camper and they want to know how you spread your love of camping to others. All you need to do is upload your favorite camping photo here with a description of what you’re doing to pay the camping love forward. Each week, the photo with the most votes will win a Coleman Sundome four-person tent. Let’s get America out and about!
